When I said what I said

I meant what I said when what I said was what I said when I said it but what I said shouldn't be taken to read that I meant that what I said  when I said it was what I meant as what I said was  what I said when I said it and now I'm saying that what  I said when I said what I said was not  what I meant when I said what I said as what I said when I said what I said I said because I needed to at the time And so now I'm saying that what I said when I said what I said was not  what I meant when I said  what I said but what I say now is what I felt when I said what I said and that in a very real sense is what I meant to say  when I said what I said though what I said when  I said what I said was quite useful at the time that I said it

It comes at you fast

meanwhile, over in the other poem he's fretting over the words "stable genius" whether they're enough here in this one, he's worrying about whether you can use "twitterati" one eye on posterity, don't want to date things too precisely even in fluid response the fear remains: if Toby Young tweets in a forest and nobody's outraged did it happen? Maybe the sustaining pulse of rage is all that's getting them through, at the minute and to turn it off, to leave an inchoate mass unfulfilled (well, no chance of that as long as there's air to breathe there'll be pillocks as my old nan never said - fake news)

Blank actor

surgically removed from his career they realised too late that it was past time to recast, the distribution rights were already sold so there was no backing out the repayments on the back catalogue alone...disastrous impsssible to contemplate the lawsuits unimaginable or the other thing, all too easy to imagine his existence but their were gaps on the posters ,....is terrific puzzled lacunae in the reviews characters threw themselves backwards from a punch from nothing actresses spat dialogue into the void wept over nothing, the cute kids looked up hopefully saw only more set wise-cracking best friends had the scene to themselves guns remained unfired montages suddenly abstract they considered cutting the sex scenes altogether but well..maybe the world wasn't ready for that instead tasteful nudes writhed alone, feigning pleasure

All schism, all the time

and it hurts when friends fall out the uncoiling of his madness couched in his accusations lunacy is in the statement of the beholder and this one? well it's a doozy, in the library of fault-lines this has a section, it'll be pored over for minutes long after arguments over whose button was biggest have been left in the dustbin of history

Legitimate issues

the hallucinatory nature of response to non existent protest is the perfect fugue state in which we rattle off our rehearsals for the other conflicts the symbolic clash of imagined ideologies as depicted in the public view by two avatars, one a cartoon rendering of a big eyed kitten and the other, well, your man himself, Lord North large as life and fulminating at the unrest which, on paper is nothing  to worry your big eyes about, kitten and the commentary (equally intangible: a sidebar posits an unsustainable theory to test itself against) rolling around to assumptions that Lord North and The Big-eyed kitten are, in fact, two sides of the same coin. Both toys, puppets of the real actor the remnants of a carton of orange juice but as to whose pulling their  strings we are, as yet, unclear
